We are proud to present the Launch Point Pitch Competition for its 2nd inaugural year. This collaborative initiative was started by Community Futures Lethbridge Region and the University of Lethbridge in order to bring a new early-stage pitch competition to life in SW Alberta!

Community Stream Eligibility:
Launch Point is primarily open to new businesses and new business ideas. You’ll want to read these key eligibility details as well as the rest of the info in the Launch Point Pitch Competition Handbook:

• Existing business owners who have a business idea or strategy that is a shift from their regular line(s) of business are welcome to compete (eligibility of the shift away from regular lines of business will be reviewed and eligibility determined by the Organizing Committee).

• Teams must be living or working in the RINSA Region (Okotoks south to the US Border, East of Taber to the BC Border.) We have extended the eligibility region this year to extend past the Community Futures Lethbridge Region (Barons, Blood Band Reserve, Broxburn, Coaldale, Coalhurst, Del Bonita, Diamond City, Iron Springs, Kipp, Lethbridge (city and county), Magrath, Nobleford, Picture Butte, Raymond, Shaughnessy, Spring Coulee, Stand Off, Stirling, Tempest, Turin, Welling, and other surrounding communities). If you're unsure if you qualify, please register and we will correspond with you to confirm.

• A new business will have been in operation less than two (2) years.
• A new business idea will not yet be operating or actualized as of January 30, 2024.
• An existing business who has a shift idea (pivot) will have been in business less than five (5) years.

• New Businesses and new business ideas must have not generated more than $100,000.00 in revenues in the business to date.
• An existing business who has a shift idea must not have generated more than $10,000.00 in annual revenues from the shift idea.

All contestants are required to be able to commit to pitching in the Finals in Round 2 for the 10-minute live pitch if selected. This will be on Friday, March 15th, 2024, at Lethbridge College from 1pm to 7pm.
