This 6-week Fall Emerging Tech Series is comprised of six (6) workshops on Thursday evenings. This workshop series is meant for:
• Entrepreneur starting a business in the tech sector and needing some background.
• Someone thinking of a career in emerging tech and looking for direction.
• People wanting to learn emerging tech out of interest.
• Non-programmers wanting to understand emerging tech for their business needs.
• Programmer wanting to break into emerging tech.

We will embark on a journey of hands-on learning. You will learn not just by observing but by doing and interacting. The goal is to provide you all the necessary tools and make you self-sufficient in exploiting the potential of these technologies. The focus is not on programming only, but also on developing business cases and charting a career path.

The workshops format will be interactive with participants assuming an active role. Each session will consist of 1-2 hour of lecturing interspersed with hands-on learning activities. The activities include, but will not be limited to, discussions, exploration of business cases, instructor-supported programming tasks, software and hardware explorations, and online tasks. To derive maximum benefit from these activities, the participants should bring a device with Mac OS/Windows operating system. A limited number of devices will be available on site to be shared and used on a first-come-first-served basis. Some, but not all, of the activities can be completed on any smart phone or tablet.
