17 6:00PM-9:00PM
This workshop series is meant for:
Entrepreneurs who need to learn enough to create their first product for validation; people thinking of a career in software development, and looking for a place to start; founders who want to understand enough about software development to work with a developer.

The code school will provide a lecture + exercise format, where you will learn, step-by-step, followed by trying out the examples and exercises provided. The goals of the program are to introduce you to the computer as developers see it for development, provide a grounding in programming fundamentals, and introduce you to the process of creating apps for the App Store.

All backgrounds and skill levels are welcome. Some exposure to computers is required, but if you can send an email or use a web browser, you’re good to go. Most important is an unquenchable desire to learn, as one never finishes learning how to code.

About the Instructor:
Lori Olson, Lead Consultant The WNDX Group Inc.
Lori got her start in software straight out of school, with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science from the University of Calgary, working in the Calgary oil patch. Since then, she has developed software solutions for the health, finance, and entertainment industries, as well as software tools used to boost the productivity of other software developers.

Lori volunteers as a local chapter lead (and instructor and mentor) with the Ladies Learning Code, a non-profit devoted increasing digital literacy by teaching coding and technical skills in a hands-on, social and collaborative way.

*Dinners will include vegetarian options and you will be asked to indicate this on registration. If you require specific preparation/ingredient exclusions, we encourage you to bring your own dinner.
